A nice sunset from the 4th. The MDA takes decent shots when there's enough light, horrible shots when there's not, and often stunning shots when there's a combination of light and darkness to contrast each other.
A candid of the kid... starting early. Sorry, kiddo, but no mimosas for another couple decades (at least). You'll just have to stick with plain OJ until then.
Makin' cookies at grandma's house. Rolling the dough into a little ball is almost as fun as getting chocolate all over your face! ... Almost as fun.
Housewarming party in West Seattle. Lots of wine and Armenian food. Earlier in the day, I went into an actual wine shop for the first time. Got a short edumacation on some of the finer "domestics" and walked out with a bottle of one of Yakima Valley's finest Merlots. Here's a fine example of why the MDA doesn't take good shots in low light. I actually have the exposure settings on "Night" and things still look pretty bad. Because the exposure takes so long to finish, you have to hold very still or the entire thing gets too blurry to make it worthwhile... unless you wanted it that way.
Lastly, Dad and I finally got my brother's office network up and running. The people in charge of getting their internet all set up neglected to leave any sort of paperwork explaining what the settings were supposed to be in order to get things up and rolling... so somebody got a nice Sunday morning phone call. Most of it got sorted out. At least they finally have interent connectivity and can all print to the networked printer.
The shot below is of one of... at least 6 huge plasma screens in the office. This doesn't even take into account the 4 HD LCD panels downstairs that were apparently being used for a gamecube/xbox/ps2 bonanza.
